Olyan gyenge ez a film, mint a harmat. A bugyuta tartalma mellett borzalmas a főszereplő választás. Azt tudom mondani, mint a Micsoda nőben a férfi a nőnek. Nagyon szép magas, mutatós nő vagy, csak ne dobáld magad. Itt azt mondanám, nagyon szép fogsorod van, csak csukd be néha a szád.

00:25 xdd. Nekem tetszett, még ha sok nézőnek nem is. Engem szórakoztatott egész végig. Nem volt unalmas számomra. Saw it on premiere on september 24 at Budapest's Corvin Mozi.
Probably the most essential thing to know about this movie is that it was made for television in the first place and later they considered pushing it into the Oscars, for big screens, as they thought it has the potential to win something. It probably has that potential but I don't think that it would be because the movie is that good. maybe for the acting as it was quite strong from the two main protagonists, or for the screenplay. Oh and for the music, that is indeed Oscar-worthy for today's standards. But if for anything other than that. well, then I would smell something fishinness behind that.
So as a TV movie this picture is far better than great. It has a distinctive visual atmosphere with its gray fuminess and late, cold autumny colors, the cinematography is beyond adequate for such TV movie norma, the world the story plays in is really authentic, beholds many details that reflects those old times. The dialouges are clevelry written, they behold the realism but also some theatrical factor for dramatic purposes. The acting is top-notch from the main protagonists, they bring well detailed characteristics into their relationship by which we really hold their connection close to our hearts, but overall all the cast did a good job. The soundtrack has probably the most appeal for an award as it has that really almost-but-not-yet cheesiness that can easily win your ears over, but overall a very pleasant music to listen to, reminded me of Clint Mansell's previous works.
What the whole movie might fall short on is the world building that plays in the post-war dictaturic times. There are some snipets about the oppression they maintained on all these people lived in the post-war city, however, other than having some tricky questions from the "comrades" it never went further than that, it didn't fully bring the overall alienating effect it should have for the story/narrative. It was kinda like only a world building element in order to remind the auidence what times this plays in, never fully did anything more than that. And probably, the ending, which refers onto this dictature didn't feel that cathartic, because of that "only-world-building-element" reason.
Talking with others on premiere some people found the whole fast paced evolution of the protagoninst's relationship unconvincing and out of place, that it needed much deeper, elaborative, slower tendencies to go through. Personaly I had no issue with it at all. I found the relationship really natural and organic in its own way, it was indeed a connection that is not that easily achievable by anyone, but these two somehow had the luck to have a mostly healthy relationship that helped both of them in some ways to heal all the scars the war times brought onto them.
So. basicly, that's all I got to say about this movie. From TV movie standpoints I found it really solidly done, a nicely put together motion picture that is pleasant to watch. For Oscar worthy theatrical experience it might fall behind a bit as it has some lack of details and elaboratness, so - even though I have no respect for Oscars nowadays - I kinda feel this movie has only oscar-worthiness on a few, specific fields and even there there is always much bigger fishes to fight against on awards like this. Again, if it wins any award other than the music, acting, or (maybe) for screenplay then there is something fishy back there in Hollywood (but it's Hollywood, the Oscars, so there is more dirty business than anything else today.
Rating: 6.8/10.

Szerintem a feliratos az jobb, nekem valahogy ezek a szinkronhangok nem jöttek be... Egyébként nagyon aranyos film <3. Nekem tetszett, köszönöm... igazán... Borzalmas ez az agresszív zene. Mindig is lenyűgöztek az újraszínezett századeleji fotók és filmfelvételek, amelyek közelebb hozták számomra azt a fekete-fehér filmkockákon chaplinszerűen megörökített, furán ugráló világot. ezt egészen biztosan meg fogom nézni amint lehet.

Tisztelt Hartung Attila! A film amellett, hogy teljes valójában reflektálja a jelen kort, annak tárgyilagos és lélektani mivoltjával együtt, egy zseniális műalkotás. Köszönöm! Kívánok legalább olyan sikereket a következőkben, mint amelyeket Antal Nimród elért. Eszméletlen jó film,annyira valóságos.Akiknek nem tetszik gondolom nem fogták fel miről szól,mi a mondani valója,bizony nem ártana, ha sokan elgondolkoznának rajta.

I'm also curious what sort of damage people are putting out on their bows, so please feel free to leave comments. This is also my first monster hunter, so take that as you will, but I'm able to comfortably solo most tempered elder dragons. I personally favour the orchestra palico if I'm solo/duo, because mostly the stamina buff saves my dash juices. Edit: Reddit delivers, as always. Some amazing tips and thoughts in the comments. Definitely read them! And thank you to everyone. Anyway, with that said, let's dive in. There isn't one perfect bow build for the end game. This is why you have approximately 46 bajillion equipment slots, and can name them. As a bare minimum, you probably want Dragon, Fire, Ice, Thunder, Water, Blast, and then custom sets for exploring and various creatures. Once you've got them set up, it only takes a few seconds to switch loadouts, and you can do it easily on great hunts too (back to camp, pick a new loadout). Before we get into equipment specifically, let's talk Dragon Piercer. I don't rate focusing on DP most of the time. It takes ~5 seconds to charge up, during which time you could have gotten off a couple of spread shots and and arc shot, doing far, far more damage, as well as adding a stun/stagger/breaks. It's situational, but there are probably better 1 slot decos for your needs, rather than getting 20% extra damage on DP. Think about it - how often do you connect a perfect DP shot in an average fight? 3 times? 10? Even 20 isn't that many compared to the other shots you're getting in. I'm also assuming you know about bow charge level, spread shot, power shot, arc shot, etc. Coatings. Eh. I hardly ever use these, except when attacking a sleeping giant or for first strike. I could probably improve here. edit: Some excellent notes in the comments on coatings (and one in particular for Hazak which makes me laugh and I can't wait to try). Also, while you're farming the decos you need, you might find yourself with a coating gem, which allows bows to use non-standard coatings. Useful! Boosters There's no reason never to use Demondrug and Armorskin. All your item loadouts should have 3 of each. Cultivate the necessary herbs, to cover carting. Always eat a max potion (if the canteen didn't max your health, on which note... ) Always use the canteen. Always. Take flashthings, and flashbugs for on-fly-crafting. Dash Juice is your friend. Tailrider safari will collect the ingredients for you. Decorations Decos you're absolutely going to want: Mighty Bow (level 2) This increases max bow charge level by 1. This means your bow can charge to level 4, and does increased damage on the final shot. In the training room, the fourth volley does 32/36* vs 30/33* for the third. Also, with enough stamina, I think it makes the 4th charge power shot have 7 arrows instead of 5. Which can be an extra 50+ damage. Forceshot (level 3) This increases the damage of normal arrows. In practice, this adds ~3% (probably 1 or 2 points) of damage to all your shots. Given that you'll be shooting hundreds of arrows in a typical fight, this adds up. If you use coatings, this may be less relevant. Spread (level 3) Much like Forceshot, this will add ~3% of damage to each arrow. Element and Attack jewels. Should be obvious. Armour Ok, so there are some basics which are very useful, but you're going to be switching out pieces for different builds. I've tried a heap of builds that I found here (so thank you to everyone for posting, and especially /u/timy_spelling_error for this particular post:) Charms and Utilities Take your pick from Fitness Charm/Health Charm and Vitality Cloak/Impact Cloak/Evasion Cloak/Affinity Booster, and base it on whether or not you're going to get one-shot. Defense rating For the most part, these builds come in around ~450 armour before canteen/armorskin boosts, so very little is going to be able to one-shot you, but do consider the health charm for most tempered elder dragons, especially with one or two faints. It's easy to get caught out. It's less vital if you're not solo. Dragon, Fire, Ice, Thunder, Water For the most part, I run these with fitness charm, impact cloak or affinity booster and vitality cloak for backup. Dragonking Eyepatch, Negi mail B, Kaiser Vambraces, Nergi coil A, Kushala Crus B KO Jewel 2 or Destroyer Jewel 2, Mighty Bow Jewel 2, Expert Jewel 1, Spread Jewel 3, Forceshot Jewel 3. Feel free to switch out KO Jewel for a coating jewel if that's your thing, and replace the expert with a DP booster if you like using DP. Or switch out expert for another element jewel. This gives constitution 3, Weakness Exploit 3, Stamina Surge 3, Attack Boost 2, Evade Extender 2, Normal Shots, Spread/Power Shots, Partbreaker or Stun bonus, Bow Charge Plus. I really like evade extender when combined with the bow evade. It allows for some ridiculous moves, and also makes mounting a cinch (bow evade towards the enemy, then tap the coating button for a mounting attack which will generally do 40+ damage even if it doesn't mount). Dragon Dragonbone Bow 3, Dragon Jewel x 2. Fire Rathslinger III, Blaze Jewel 1 /u/Killerclown_swe provdes the following below in the comments. Now, i've runned some testing on the Rath Vs Anja bows. Got an great Kirin investigation, where i did my testing. I don't write down any specific numbers and stuff, it would feel like doing homework than having fun. Anyway, the way i did my test was to go into a investigation, with the testing bow, finish and then use a scum save so that the investigation should be the same on every test. Did 5 on each bow, and forced my son:) to do 3 on both bows. The conclusion after all of this testing was that the Rath had more even dmg number, than the Anja. And that came to be an important thing over time. Yes, Anja could hit with a much higher dmg sometimes, but that that didn't help when it was all done. Every test ended up with Rath as a winner when coming to time to finish the investigation. The difference was 1. 5 - 2 mins on every run. Ice Legia Snowfletcher, and I switch out expert for a frost jewel. Thunder Flying Kadachi Strikebow, 1 x bolt, and switch out expert for another bolt. Water Water Shot III - this comes with a level 3 slot, so you can add another KO, a destroyer, a stream jewel, whatever you like. Blast Things get a bit different here. The only bow I haven't built is the one that requires Arena tokens, because fuck the Arena. I hate it. I need to play it at some point to wrap up my achievements, but just ugh. But it's got blast without the need for Free Elem, which is really interesting. In the absence of that, here's what I have. Datura String (mighty bow 2, trueshot 1), Dragonking Eyepatch (spread jewel), Zorah Hide (Destroyer), Zorah Claws (Attack), Nergi Coil B (destroyer), Kirin Leg Guards (expert, satiated), Normal Shot Charm. Looking at this now, it looks like I might be better served adding another trueshot in place of expert, especially because stuff that's weak to blast also tends to be really easy to line up for DPs, but flavour to taste. I love this outfit. It's a shame not so much stuff is strong against blast. Anyway, it gives free elem 3, lots of partbreaker, and all the other goodies. It's lots of fun. Hazak Rathslinger 3 (protection), Dragonking Eyepatch (spread), Nergi mail B (mighty bow, blaze), Kaiser Vams (Forceshot), Girros Coil (Miasma), Vaal Hazak Greaves (Blaze & Expert), Health Charm (although you could definitely run fitness here), Vitality Cloak, Impact Cloak. This gives Heath 3/Constitution 3 (if you swap the health charm for fitness), Weakness Exploit 3, Effluvia Resistance 3, Fire attack 2, Stamina Surge 2, Effluvial Expert, Normal Shots, Power Shots, Critical Eye 1, Divine Blessing 1, Bow Charge Plus. Effluvial Expert 3 in particular means Hazak becomes a bit of a joke. You can pretty much just stand in his face and mash power shot/arc shot and laugh as he goes down. If you're fighting in rotten vale, don't miss the wiggly litchi just by the central camp. If you're playing with others, try to all approach him together. He has a nasty habit of doing his breath o' doom when one person approaches ahead of the others, which can lead to multiple cartings if you're caught out of place. In rotten vale, encourage him to stand under the boulders in the area with the blue pools. 2 stuns back to back at the start of the fight moves the fight along nicely. The Kush Ugh. The wind. The endless wind. Flying Kadachi Strikebow (Bolt), Dragonking Eyepatch (Wind Resist), Nergi Mail B (Wind Resist, Bolt), Kaiser Bs (spread), Nergi Coil B (Mighty Bow), Kush Crus (Forceshot), Health Charm (he hits like a truck even with ~500 armour) You can switch out the Nergi Mail B for Rath Soul Coil A if you want more windproofing) and it comes with a bonus DP boost. Health Boost 3, Weakness Exploit 3, Windproof 2 (or 4 if you switched for Rath Soul Coil), Attack 2, Thunder Attack 2, Stamina Surge 2, Evade Extender 2, Normal Shots, Spread Shots, Bow Charge Plus Take 3 flashbombs, and 10 flashbugs for crafting them on the fly. In Elder Recess, (s)he'll often retreat to the area with two crystal boulder traps, so don't forget to use those. Teostra I hate this guy. I can solo him tempered ~50% of the time, and the rest I get caught out by something stupid. I would recommend using any 1-faint investigations to just farm tracks with the ghillie mantle. When he's got his flamewalls up, aim for the wings or the face. I find the wings way easier to hit (aim high). Anywhere else and his flames will burn up your arrows. Legia Snowfletcher, Dragonking Eyepatch (spread or forceshot depending on your preference), Nergi Mail B (2 x Fire res), Kaiser Vams B (mighty bow), Nergi Coil A, Kush Crus (Fire res), health booster/vitality cloak, fireproof cloak. Health Boost x 3, Fire Res x 3, Weakness Exploit x 3, Stamina Surge x 3, Attack Boost 2, Evade Extender 2, Normal Shots, Bow Charge Plus If you're comfortable dodging his bullshit, feel free to switch things around to the basic ice setup for more DPS. Every time I try to add more DPS, I get carted fast. Nergi I can solo this guy ~90% of the time. Sometimes you'll get caught by a stun, and then he'll eat your face. This, more than any other tempered elder, requires stamina management to ensure you can always dodge. Use arc shot a lot to keep him stunlocked and you should be ok. Don't forget the dash juice. Similar to the Kush build (they're both weak to thunder), but switch out both bolts for stun resistance, add another stun resist to replace one of the windproofs, and the other with spread. Take impact mantle and vitality cloak. He's not going to let you use your health booster. I've tinkered with using quick sheathe here instead of stun resistance, because if you're going to flash him, you need to be quick. It kinda works. For this fight, I tend to play it safer, peppering him with normal shots, and watching for the opening to flashbang him, at which point I just unload power/arc shots into his face. This is pretty much the only fight I don't go full ham, apart from Teostra. With even one other player, drop the stun resists for full DPS/destroyer/stun and just go to town. Don't forget to abuse the environment. Xeno I don't think you can get him tempered. I'm still playing around with builds here. Mostly, I just go the default dragon build, because that's my highest damage output. Probably I could drop a bunch of stamina management stuff, because he moves around so much, you have plenty of time to charge your shots and so I almost never run of out stamina. Damage numbers. Level 4 shots will do ~25-30 damage per arrow in a weak spot on a tempered elder dragon, depending on range and weakness. As I mentioned way at the top, with the Bow Charge Plus jewel, I'm pretty sure I see 7 arrows for the level 4 power shot. This tends to mean a close range level 4 power shot is doing ~175 per volley. Following a discussion below, I've spent a lot of time shooting Great Jagras in the face. With the fire setup and rath III, using only close range coating and no other damage boosts, I get crits for around 44 damage. With the Anja Arch, it's 49. Timed, the Rathslinger still takes him down a little quicker, but it's a matter of seconds. Raw / Critical Element. I've played around with raw damage builds (cera coilbender) but the damage output (even with raw damage jewels) just doesn't stack up compared to dedicated elemental builds tailored for the enemy. If you want one generalised build, see the link at the top - it's about as good as it gets, but I do ~30% less damage, despite trying lots of different setups. For critical element (the rathalos 2 bonus) I've tried a heap of different things, and while I can get the occasional high damage number, the overall consistent DPS just isn't there. Until it's available as a decoration, I don't think it makes sense to try and build around it, because the rathalos gear just isn't very good and you're giving up way too many other things. I'd love to hear thoughts if you've built around it successfully, though! Special Bonus: Exploring Hunter's Headgear A, Anja Mail B, Butterfly Hands A, Butterfly Waist A, Butterfly Boots B. Add a couple of botany jewels, and the rest to taste (satiated, quick sheath, vitality, steath, etc). You're probably not going to be fighting, so if you want to take a bow specifically to slot in marathon runner, that's not a bad idea. Scholar, Scoutfly Range Up and maxed Botany/Geologist are really the only things you're interested in. Ghillie & Glider cloaks. Charm - So many choices: Stealth, Maintenance (cloak cooldowns), clearmind (for rotten vale/elder recess), gatherers. Don't be an idiot and spend your Xeno gem on a geomancers. I did. It's totally not worth.

Beneath the concave cheekbones, the magical handguns with infinite bullet capacity, and the byzantine criminal underworld that stretches to every corner of the globe, he’s just a monosyllabic middle-aged man who wants to be left the fuck alone. When the first movie of this increasingly ridiculous saga began, Mr. Wick was grieving his wife’s death in peace—then some Russian mobsters made the mistake of killing his dog (her name was Daisy, and she was very cute). This aggression, unknowingly committed against a man so dangerous that he used to be known as “Baba Yaga, ” forced John back into the network of contract killers he’d once left behind. And ever since the shadowy crime lords of the High Table sniffed blood, they haven’t lost the scent or minded their own business. At the end of “John Wick: Chapter 2, ” our laconic hero committed a big no-no by shooting a pest on the consecrated grounds of the Continental Hotel, but desperate times call for desperate measures, and every New Yorker knows what it’s like when the world gets a bit too close for comfort. Giddy, exhausting, and breathtakingly violent, “” begins a few seconds after the previous installment left off, with the excommunicated assassin trying to make the most of the hour-long headstart he’s been given to hide before the $14 million bounty on his head is triggered and the entire criminal underworld comes after him. Of course, anyone who’s seen the previous films in this unexpected franchise knows that its criminal underworld is more of an overworld, and that almost every featured extra? —? from street vendors and waiters to dog-walkers and homeless people? —? is a heat-packing hired gun who uses their role in the capitalist system as a disguise for their deeper allegiance to a veiled society that operates on an ancient market of codes and blood oaths. Now that Mr. Wick is square in the middle of all of those crosshairs, it’s become comically impossible for the deathless widower to find the solace he seeks. He’s a target, and it seems like the entire world has its finger on the trigger; he used to be anonymous, but now he’s a celebrity. In its most enjoyably demented moments, “Parabellum” is nothing short of a non-stop metaphor for being famous. Less artful but more concussive than its immediate predecessor, this latest outing finds Mr. Wick being clocked by strangers every time he enters a room, stalked by his biggest fans, and so desperate for someone who will treat him like an actual human being that he travels all the way to the Sahara Desert to find them. Everyone in the world knows him by name, New York City is the only place on Earth he can hide in plain sight, and the perks of his job don’t seem to compare with the harassment that comes with them. As Wick stumbles through the wet neon streets of Times Square—returning us to a surprisingly involved film world that flows like “The Raid” and looks like a hyper-saturated Instagram feed? —? it’s hard not to think of Reeves’ recent experience on a malfunctioning airplane, and how even that death-defying ordeal was turned into a viral moment (to the actor’s mild chagrin). Reeves once said that Wick was 40% him, but that number seems to have crept up a bit this time around. No movie has ever expressed the fight for anonymity with such viscerally literal force. True to the serialized nature of its title, “” starts in media res and ends on a cliffhanger. For an 131-minute film that devotes roughly 110 minutes of its runtime to people shooting each other in the head at close range, it would be almost impossible to follow for someone who isn’t up to speed. Still, the gist of the plot is pretty simple: John Wick kills a lot of people. Like, a lot of people. By the end of “Parabellum, ” he’s basically the leading cause of death in henchmen between the ages of 25 and 50. More of a one-man massacre than ever before (but just raggedy enough to keep things “real”), Mr. Wick fights in a punishingly brutal style that builds on what director Chad Stahelski invented for the character in the previous films. This is a character who appears to know every single language under the sun, but violence is the most expressive part of his vocabulary (Reeves speaks maybe 100 words in the entire movie). Chinese wushu, Japanese judo, Southeast Asian silat, American Glock… Wick is fluent in them all. But while Stahelski and his team have obviously put a great deal of thought into every frame of fisticuffs, “Parabellum” is so relentless that it often devolves into a numbing flurry of shoulder flips and headshots. If “Chapter 2” bordered on high art for how cleverly it weaved tactical shootouts into public locations (and made every fight operate like an organic bit of world-building), “Chapter 3” is more out in the open. A sneaky little skirmish in Grand Central Station doesn’t live up to Stahelski’s creative potential, even if it’s amazing they pulled off the scene at all. Elsewhere, a motorcycle chase along an empty Manhattan bridge is too rushed and blurry to deliver the “Fury Road” ferocity it teases, and the climactic brawl? —? which makes great use of some familiar faces, and hinges on a funny dynamic of mutual respect—is overwhelmed by a set that looks like a high-end watch commercial, and feels like a watered-down retread of the house of mirrors sequence from the end of the previous movie. Driven by a profound respect for the expressive power of beating someone to death, and empowered by their 54-year-old star’s remarkable skill and commitment, Stahelski and the other poets of percussive carnage that work at his 87Eleven Productions are still (a severed) head and shoulders above the rest of Hollywood’s stunt community. But they can do more with this character, even if it means slowing things down and widening them out. To that end, it’s telling that the most exciting brawl in “Parabellum” (with the possible exception of a knife fight in a Chinatown antiques store) maintains a more expansive vision, as Mr. Wick fights alongside Halle Berry and some four-legged sidekicks. Traveling to Casablanca for reasons that are never adequately explained, Mr. Wick meets up with an assassin named Sofia who owns a pair of well-trained Malinois dogs; like every other supporting character in this movie, there’s mixed blood between them, and she owes him something for some reason. There are coins and seals and lots of jibber jabber about High Table manners and then “Game of Thrones” star Jerome Flynn shows up as a Bronn-like business type who’s a bit too greedy for his own good (it’s hard to tell what accent Flynn is doing here, but he’s most definitely doing it). When the bullets fly, Sofia’s very lend a valuable assist, and Stahelski has to open things up in order to frame the dogs as they chew on fresh corpses. The sequence is very “John Wick” and horribly terrific in a hand-over-your-mouth kind of way; it does more than any of the tossed-off business with the Bowery King (Laurence Fishburn) or the Continental Hotel owner (Ian McShane) to whet our appetites for another adventure. Anjelica Huston is also somewhat wasted as the matriarch of a Harlem ballet academy with ties to Wick’s past, but her scenes are so immaculately shot that you’re willing to let it slide. In a film that plays fast and loose with NYC geography, all is forgiven by turning 175th street’s United Palace into the “Tarkovsky Theater, ” where people are trained to be killers in between performances of “Swan Lake. ” The film’s world-building works best in small doses. A meeting in the middle of the desert is a total dead end, whereas all sorts of fun details can be inferred from Stahelski’s frequent cutaways to the High Table nerve center, where dozens of tattooed and lip-glossed workers monitor Wick’s bounty with an old-fashioned switchboard (imagine a SuicideGirls reboot of “Mad Men” and you’ll have the right idea). Non-binary “Billions” star Asia Kate Dillon plays a stiff and slinky High Table adjudicator who’s covered in Thierry Mugler coture; part referee and part femme fatale, their performance speaks to an underworld that’s sustained by a mutual respect for all people so long as they don’t shoot the wrong target. While this franchise is starting to feel a bit long in the tooth, such details suggest that screenwriter Derek Kolstad (here sharing credit with three other scribes) can still mine this world for plenty of new life, so long as future installments find a way to deepen the John Wick mythos instead of just stretching it out. With the significant exception of “Mission: Impossible, ” this is easily the best action franchise Hollywood has going these days, and it would be great for it to keep going with renewed focus. The fact that Keanu Reeves is nearing 60 won’t matter to his fans. For one thing, the man is seemingly ageless. For another, retirement no longer seems like a realistic option for a guy who still gets recognized everywhere he goes. It doesn’t matter if you’re a Hollywood star or a $14 million bounty—fame can be a difficult thing to shake. It’s a work-or-die world, and being forgotten is neither on the table nor under it. After a relatively forgettable decade or so that saw commercial hit Aladdin but a fair share of failures including King Arthur and The Man From Uncle, Gentlemen sees Ritchie return to the genre that made his name stand out from the crowd for the first time since 2008's RocknRolla and it's great to see the visually talented and energetic creative back on deck in a universe of British crims that he knows so well.
Recruiting an all star cast led by American import Matthew McConaughey as marijuana kingpin Mickey Pearson, Charlie Hunnam as the softly spoken steak loving Raymond and a scene stealing Hugh Grant as slimy investigator/paparazzi fiend Fletcher, Gentlemen has Ritchie and his players navigate a rather complicated crime yarn that doesn't always gel together efficiently but when it does, you're quickly reminded as to why you feel in love with Ritchie crime capers in the first place.
With Raymond and Fletcher telling the films story over a long night time set conversation, Gentlemen takes us on a ride through the underbelly of British crime tropes as we visit drug dens, soccer matches, royal estates, corner pubs and more tea connoisseurs than a Tetly convention and while the yarn is perhaps less action packed and visually inventive than we've come to expect from Ritchie offerings, the director's trademark character creation and dialogue work is still a cut above the usual.
With barely a moments respite, Ritchie keeps things moving at a rapid pace as additional players like Colin Farrel's Coach, Henry Goldings criminal upstart Dry Eye and Michelle Dockery's fiery Rosalind partake in proceedings that give you little time to think or ask questions about what you are seeing, other than the fact it's all done in a tongue in cheek way that shows off the fun side of Ritchie that is what we love most about the British wunderkind.
The journey of Gentlemen may never end up taking us to the outstanding destination or culmination that we hope for as we watch a bunch of deceiving and scheming players act up around the sale of Mickey Pearson's criminal enterprise but there's little denying the fact that the easy to watch, curse-ridden and well played out journey we partake in is a thoroughly enjoyable one, without ever becoming a downright memorable one.
Final Say -
It's great to see Guy Ritchie back doing what he does best and while The Gentlemen never reaches the dazzling heights of the directors best works, this is a step back in the right direction for a filmmaker who had lost his sense of purpose.

I had no idea this was a Ritchie film until I saw the first 4 seconds of dialogue. That, my friends is true signature style. And how long did you tell them you needed, two or three hundred years? If we hadn't had lock stock or snatch then this would possibly looked at in a more classic Ritchie film so don't expect it to be as great as those.

The main character Avery Malone is played perfectly by Sara Garcia. At first, I felt like she was a bit on the boring side, but that’s all part of the ruse. Avery Malone is one hell of a badass once Sara Garcia really gets into it and shows us the many sides of this character. If you watched Reign you might know Sara Garcia as Keira on that series. Also, she was in the war drama series X Company. Basically, you should watch True Fiction to experience Sara Garcia evolve the character as Avery Malone. By the time we got to the final act, I was completely on board with both the plot and character. In fact, to me, the final act is at a big 4 out of 5 stars. The beginning was simply too slow and weak for me to keep this rating overall for the movie. Still, a good ending can lift the overall value so I would place it at 3½ stars (if we gave half stars). Watch True Fiction when you get the chance! Braden Croft is the writer and director of True Fiction and this is only his third film. However, other than working as a director on his own projects, he was also First Assistant Director on What Keeps You Alive which I loved.
